Waves of Learning

We experience waves in many different forms, sound waves, light waves, microwaves, emotional waves... WOL uses Waves as a metaphor for learning, allowing students to immerse themselves in an ocean of possibilities and ride these waves into the shore of success.

How Do We Work?

Waves of Learning (WOL) is a program run out of Carihi Secondary School. Largely focusing on students who require an innovative program, WOL aims to provide optimal opportunities inside and outside of the classroom to engage and empower designated students who often miss out on opportunities due to various barriers.

Technology & Innovation

To make a lasting impact, we know that we must actively engage with and include different community entities. We are continually learning from our partners and growing our network so that we can provide optimal opportunities for our students.

Fundraising

Utilizing technology will help build bridges for those who require additional support for their learning needs. We will do our best to provide technological support for each student.

Partnering with Local Community Groups

We will be conducting multiple fundraisers to support our program, which requires transportation to and from many locations around Vancouver Island.

Our Team

With a background as a Learning Support Teacher and loads of experience in the outdoors, Jeff looks to inspire and engage students through WOL.
